“The Dreamlanders” are a group of stock players, directed by John Waters, who have appeared in his films since their humble beginnings. Most of the original bunch live /lived in the Baltimore area. Divine, David Lochary, Edith Massey, Mink Stole, Mary Vivian Pearce, and Rikki Lake were instrumental in Water’s transition from cult favorite to mainstream success, with films such as “Pink Flamingos,” “Polyester,” and particularly “Hairspray.”
