Windows (1980) Queer Film (F)

DIRECTOR: Gordan Willis
Emily Hollander (Talia Shire) is the subject of a lesbian obsession of Andrea Glassen (Elizabeth Ashley), her next-door neighbor.
Ashley’s trademark raspy voice, which had always suggested the sexy knowingness of her characters, is here co-opted to bolster the most offensive of lesbian cliches.

Windows was legendary cameraman Gordon Willis’s only attempt at direction, and he did his own cinematography.

Everyone associated with the movie should have known better.
Luckily, nobody saw it.

Now streaming on Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube with MGM
